Songs to cover

Post  Evilocity on Thu Aug 21, 2008 3:00 pm

What do you reckon to making a list of 10 songs each that *you* want to cover? If a choice is technically too difficult, we can overwrite that section of the song with our own 'fresh' AF stylee...

Mine then: Cool

Alice In Chains - Them Bones
Deftones - Around The Fur
Limp Bizkit - Stuck
Megadeth - Prince of Darkness
Nirvana - Dive
Pitchshifter - Eight Days
Porcupine Tree - Fear Of A Blank Planet
Static-X - All In Wait
Therapy? - Turn
Tool - Parabol/Parabola

Megadeth song changed after the original was declared crap!

Well on the singing websites I've looked at, I've got to practice my posture, my ability to pronounce words to greater effect and what style to sing in to.

I am happy to report I've now got most of the lyrics for the songs especially ones for Sunday, and have converted tunes from various places to learn over the next few days!

Well I've got Stuck and Ugly down. Judith is being a bitch coz I'm trying to work out which particular bits of the two guitars sound better at any given time. A Small Victory? Well I can do the intro...

I've nailed Stuck and Judith. A Small Victory will take some time as it's so bloody fragmented - not to mention that I'm using a different bass as I can't be arsed to keep retuning. If anyone can find the bass tab for Ugly, I'd be appreciative else, I'll have to work it out old skool and I'm not one hundred percent sure I'll have time for Sunday.
